Whatcom County Fire District 14
According to the National Fire Prevention Association, approximately 69% of firefighters in the United States are volunteer. This speaks great volumes about our nation, and the way neighbors help each other. Here in our community, that number is far closer to 100%.
Minimum Requirements for Volunteers:
- 18 years old
- Pass a medical exam, including a drug test
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have a valid WA State driver's license
- Have a good driving record
- Be of good moral character
- High School diploma, or equivalent
- Live in the fire district
